The BioCardioLab group of “Heart Hospital” | Fondazione Toscana G. Monasterio is delighted to announce that the XI Annual Meeting of the Italian Chapter of the European Society of Biomechanics (ESB-ITA) will be held in Massa (Italy) on the 6th and 7th of October 2022.
The Meeting will be held in Centro Congressi della Provincia di Massa-Carrara, located in the center of Marina di Massa. During the first day, we will have a thematic symposium on biomechanics in and for clinics, introduced by international keynote lecturers. In the second day the general scientific meeting will take place. The best oral and best poster presentations will be awarded. To promote participation of international delegates, presentations can be either in English or in Italian.
In the last years, the role of biomechanics research is increasingly approaching the clinics. The recent innovation have favoured the translation of simulative and experimental tools in the clinical routine. In this thematic symposium we will have a wide overview of the biomechanics in and for clinics from the past with a sight to the future challenge with three outstanding key-notes, from academia and clinical centres.
The general meeting will focus on the state-of-the-art of biomechanics in Italy and abroad. The main topics will cover the musculoskeletal, orthopaedic and cardiovascular biomechanics explored with approaches based on experimental and computational techniques. The dimensional scales will spread from the nano-cellular level up to the organ level. Translational studies between engineering and medicine will provide an overview of the actual trend in the biomechanical fields.
